Our Exciting Opportunity
Ericsson is seeking a new member to join the Design and User Experience (DUX) team. In this position, you will be involved in several internal projects of varying complexity and requiring different statistical approaches. We need you to help us resolve the issues in our software portfolio using user research, data collection, and analysis.
Your strength is research, and you work collaboratively, think strategically, and come up with creative solutions. Your responsibilities include understanding users' needs, crafting and delivering compelling experiences, and assisting organizations in scaling up. You will bring a positive, adventurous attitude to your work, with a drive to be relentlessly dedicated to quality outcomes, and a thirst for continuous learning.
The goal of your role will be to build a data-driven user research culture by using quantitative and qualitative user research methods, collecting and analyzing data from various sources, and interpreting it using tools and techniques. We need your help in developing our new usability lab, assisting in setup for usability tests and handling data quality assurance and analysis.


You will
Using the wide range of research approaches in your toolkit, including but not limited to: contextual inquiry, in-depth interviews, longitudinal qualitative research like diary studies, co-creation and/or PAR, validation research, usability/task analysis, secondary research, trend scanning, surveys, analyzing data sets, etc.
Carry out and make decisions on statistical analysis of acquired raw data, using flexible and multiple approaches that can provide practical insights and design outcomes.
Conducting workshops and co-creation sessions based on the user research.
Synthesizing multiple data sources and insights into communication documents that present a clear message about the biggest implications for stakeholders.
Create processes for data sharing within the DUX team, and implement the new tools and methods you see in the market.
Helping translate both primary and secondary research findings into outputs that support ideation and concrete solutions (e.g. experience maps, data visualizations, conceptual frameworks, etc.)



To be successful in the role you must have:
Degree (bachelor's or higher) in Anthropology, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Human Factors, Psychology, Sociology, or a related field or equivalent practical experience.
Minimum of 3 years’ experience of industry experience within a research setting.
Organizational skills and ability to lead multiple projects.
Experience with research design applying various methods (i.e. usability studies, contextual inquiry, surveys, etc.).
Relevant product research experience, either in an end-to-end, usability, or generative setting.
Working experience with web, App analytics via Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, or other platforms.
Expertise in survey tools and experience of survey methodology.
Understand complex SW product architecture.
