Work description

You will be a part of the New Strategic Tools & Process team, which is one of the functions within Global R&D Filler Metals. In this role you will collaborate closely with our Development Engineers, Research Engineers and Software Developers in a joint effort towards a new generation of tools and processes in product development. This is a new role which you will have the opportunity to form and develop.


Your main responsibilities:

- Create higher use of technology to enable "fast track" development and reduced need for physical testing
- Further increase the integration of multivariate methods and modelling in the work of our R&D organization
- Work closely with R&D Engineers and Research team with experimental planning and multivariate analysis
- Deliver new R&D Tools and processes to R&D Filler Metals to reduce time from idea to market


Who are you?

We think that you have:
- A Master of Science, e.g. chemistry, physics, material or other relevant field
- Relevant experience of minimum five years
- Expert level in multivariate analysis and Design of Experiments
- Experience of project oriented work
- Ability to engage and motivate people, drive changes
- Creative and analytical skills
- Enterprising and result orientated qualities
- Practical and pragmatic approach
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English

Additional experience that we find meriting

- Experience from Material science, metallurgy and/or chemical science
- Working experience from the welding industry
- Experience from product development
