Right now, we have an exciting job opening for you in Finance as Expert Accountant in the Northern European Cluster, working with one of our legal entities in the scope of our responsibility.

In your role, you will be a key contributor to the creation of the next generation Finance community - One Finance. You will develop and implement smart and nimble finance processes and tools to support the business in the best way as well as providing accounting expertise. Volvo Car Corporation is a company that encourages people to take responsibility and work independently. 

Located in Gothenburg, as Expert Accountant within Northern European Cluster, you will be working with accounting and reporting activities for our legal entities in scope, together with skilled and motivated colleagues. The work includes preparing, evaluating and reporting monthly financial figures for the Volvo Car Corporation’s business. You will also be involved in analysis, projects and lead process improvements for financial processes with focus on accounting, working closely with the Finance operations team, your colleagues within Northern European Cluster in Gothenburg and Global Accounting Centre in Madrid.

What you’ll do
In this role you will be leading the development within the area of general accounting and reporting and secure it is performed with efficiency and quality. You need to manage and improve the processes within the financial area and ensure that we are compliant with Volvo’s global financial reporting standards and principles.

Do you fit the profile?
We are looking for you with a university degree in Finance or equivalent. You have a positive attitude and willingness to change while having the ability to take initiatives and develop in the role. We think you have at least 7 years of accounting experience. If you have experience working in SAP and Hyperion FM it’s an advantage. More important is that you have good knowledge of accounting and finance processes in general and an ability to apply these in the daily work.

To be successful in this role you need to be curious, proactive and have the ability to prioritize in order to deliver on commitments.
