Right now, we have an exciting job opening for you in Finance as Expert Accountant – General Accounting and Reporting in the Financial Accounting Team. Northern European Cluster.


Who we are
Located in Gothenburg, you will be part of the Financial Accounting Team of 15 people. You will be working with accounting and reporting activities for the legal entity Volvo Car Corporation, together with skilled and motivated colleagues. The work includes preparing, evaluating and reporting monthly, quarterly and yearly financial figures as well as preparation of the Annual Report.

You will be involved in accounting treatment of different transactions, analysis, projects and process improvements for financial processes with focus on accounting. You will be working closely with the Group Accounting and Finance operations teams, your colleagues within Northern European Cluster in Gothenburg and Global Accounting Centre in Madrid.


What you'll do
In your role, you will be a key contributor to the creation of the next generation Finance community - One Finance. You will develop and implement smart and nimble finance processes and tools to support the business in the best way as well as providing accounting expertise. Volvo Car Corporation is a company that encourages people to take responsibility and work independently. 


Do you fit the profile?
To be successful in this role, you should have a passion for accounting, and you need to have a desire and drive for change and be comfortable with working with complex accounting questions in according to Swedish GAAP and IFRS. If you have experience working in SAP R/3 and Hyperion FM it’s an advantage.

Your analysis capabilities are strong, and you possess abilities to grasp the big picture. In addition to the above you have a University degree in Finance and relevant working experience, and you are fluent in Swedish and English both verbally and written.

Personal qualities as high integrity and ability to uphold standards of professionalism and confidentiality are valued. You need to be curious and be flexible to handle short notice situations. Since you will be member of a team and a key contact person, work well with others will be a key factor such as also ability to engage people.
