In its operations, Volvo Car Corporation is exposed to various types of financial risks such as currency risk, interest rate risk, credit risk, commodity price risk, funding risk and liquidity risk.
The Volvo Cars treasury function is responsible for management and control of these financial risks. It ensures that appropriate financing is in place through capital market transactions, loans and committed credit facilities and manages Volvo Cars liquidity. The accounting and reporting of our Treasury operations are organized under the Global Finance Delivery Team.
What we offer
You will be part of the Financial Accounting team that works globally with the purpose to drive value creation, provide accounting expertise and guidance to make change happen. The Treasury Accounting team is responsible for accounting and reporting in closings, providing accounting expertise and drive projects within the area derivatives, loans, cash & bank and inhouse cash.
You have daily co-operation with our centrally Group Treasury function and our Cash and Bank team located in Madrid. You will also have a close cooperation with other teams such as Group Accounting, Accounting Governance and Digital Finance.

What you’ll do
You will hold one of our three positions within Treasury Accounting and your main area of responsibility will be accounting and reporting and projects related to financial instruments.
Your tasks and responsibilities in this position will be:
Involved and responsible for monthly, quarterly, and yearly closing activities for Treasury Accounting
Accounting expert in business projects/new business models relating to Treasury accounting, in close cooperation with Group Treasury
Actively contribute to the improvement and standardization of current processes
Recognize the importance of digitalization and be able to contribute to projects related to the same
Delivering and continuously improving high quality analyses with the purpose of providing assurance to our financial figures as well as providing valuable insights on a regular basis.
Involved in relevant notes for the Annual report of Volvo Car Corporation and Volvo Car Group
Close cooperation with Group Treasury, Group Accounting, Cash and Bank and Inhouse Cash team in Madrid as well as other business functions in daily business and project matters.
Do you fit the profile?
To be successful in this role, you should have a strong interest and/or knowledge in treasury processes and systems including applicable accounting regulations. You are probably working for a global company with focus on Treasury accounting or you have strong and broad qualified accounting skills and would like to broaden your area of expertise with Treasury accounting.
If you have experience working in SAP R/3/S4 Hana, Hyperion FM and Quantum it’s an advantage. Your analysis and problem-solving techniques are strong, and you possess abilities to grasp the big picture. In addition to the above you have a university degree in Business Administration, and you are fluent in Swedish and English both verbally and written.
Personal qualities as high integrity and ability to uphold standards of professionalism and confidentiality are valued. You need to be curious and be flexible to handle short notice situations. Strong cooperation skills and ability to engage people are important attributes.
