The Role
Energy Storage System Lab & Test Verification is a group within the Electromobility System Complete organization, with the responsibility of providing data to our stakeholders. Your role as an Expert Battery Verification Engineer will be to manage the verification ways of working and data production for all components within Volvo Group Energy Storage Systems. This includes cell-, module- and thermal components. You will serve as a technical go-to person to enhance the teams overall testing knowledge and provide guidance in testing methodologies, emphasizing proper statistical analysis and measurement techniques. A key to success in this role is the ability to communicate across departments and being comfortable with driving things forward. 

Major responsibilities 

•    Guide and coach more junior team members in the parts of the development process specific for the team.
•    Support team in correct way of working to ensure data quality, statistical correctness and ability to use automated processing of the data.
•    Manage deliveries across entire lifecycle of development with active participation in feasibility and early concept investigations. 
•    Contribute to setting up standard verification plan and establish the standard for development and product verification.
•    Active engagement in the long-term development of the ESS verification strategy, platform and roadmap. 
•    Set up cross functional routines and processes, in areas such as: 
* Cell verification - calendar/lifecycle testing, parameter testing, EIS, thermal testing etc.  
* Module verification including environmental testing, thermal management component verification and tear down. 

To excel in this role…
… we are seeking candidates with over 10 years of experience in automotive verification with an engineering degree. Since strong collaboration with stakeholder groups is important, you will need to have great collaborations skills and be able to communicate in a clear and effective manner. Previous leadership experience in this domain would be highly advantageous, particularly in coaching and developing team members. We also see it as merit if you have been working with E-weaver/ System weaver, DVP, verification planning and have experience in statistical analysis and data management.
