As Expert Chemical Management you are a part of Volvo Cars Health, Safety & Security global team. Our responsibility is to secure Volvo Cars prerequisites to fulfill legal compliance within work environment and sustainability including company health and safety program. Volvo Cars need you to push the boundaries of what is possible, in your area of expertise, so that we can reach our goals of being the world’s safest workplace for all our employees. Amazing, right?
Your mission
You will lead a global team of chemical coordinators and be a part of the global management team for Health, Safety & Security. We have operations in all regions, and you will have a global responsibility for chemical risk management, and act as a process owner globally to ensure we meet corporate specifications and in this work develop new rules and procedures. You will also lead internal global networks (Volvo Chemical forum, REACH work group etc.) and have contact with authorities.
You are knowledge-savvy and will love to participate in international networks and monitor the development of the REACH legislation in detail for chemical products and implement necessary actions within Volvo Cars
Volvo Cars love to drive the agenda in sustainability. Can we recycle our chemicals? How can we improve our chemical handling? We believe you ask these questions, and more, and deliver solutions that stakeholders with other skills than you will appreciate.

Key qualifications include:
* A university degree in Chemistry or equivalent in relevant area.
* Experience from leading processes and/or projects.
* Experience from Chemical Management and IT-support systems
* Solid English communication skills, verbally and in writing.
* Passion for leading networks.
Where you’ll be
You will be based at Volvo Cars’ global headquarters in Gothenburg, Sweden.
