We are looking for an Expert Data Engineer, we are an autonomous, self-organized team with an agile way of working. We design, develop, and maintain RYGGRAD, the metadata. All team members participate in defining our short- and long-term goals, with everyone's opinion being valued during our planning. We acknowledge and address tech debt early and often, before it becomes a larger problem.

knowledge, experience, competence, skills etc

- You have worked as lead Tech/Architect within the (meta)data management, data-mesh or data-driven design space for several of your recent professional years. You have been leading companies as a subject matter and understands the process. You are excited about "connecting the dots" within a complex and huge data ecosystem and landscape.

- You are an expert in automation, not afraid of rolling up your sleeves and confirm your hypothesis manually. You take your time with discovery and exploration before writing the first lines of code, and validate the value of your proposals through proof-of-concepts and close collaboration with our stakeholders, data architects, and product teams.

- You consider well-written documentation as a feature, and understand the value of maintaining documentation of the highest quality. You are eager to learn and share your knowledge with your team, and not hesitate to jump into an issue where you believe you can be of assistance.

The scope of the consultant services is to

- Enterprise Metadata Backbone is part of Ingka ́s business capability Metadata Management and Ingka Data Reference Architecture. Metadata Management is the ability to create cross-organizational agreements on how to define informational assets for converting data into an enterprise asset.

- The Ingka Data Reference Architecture is a reference framework that outlines the high-level functions, capabilities, components, principles, and best practices for managing, organizing, processing, and storing data within Ingka. It provides a common language and shared understanding of the data architecture across different domains, stakeholders, and digital teams.

- The main goal of a Ingka Data Reference Architecture is to provide a standardized framework for managing, organizing, and processing data within an organization. This framework ensures that all stakeholders have a common understanding of how data is structured, stored, processed, and shared across different domains and digital systems. The ultimate objective is to enable the many people to make better data-driven decisions that drive business value and gain a competitive advantage.

- The FAIR data principles are a set of guidelines that aim to improve the findability, accessibility, interoperability, and reuse of data. These principles are highly relevant to the Ingka Data Reference Architecture, as it provides a roadmap for ensuring that the architecture supports the FAIR principles.

Technical skills requirements


- Highly professional and architectural knowledge in data engineering, in large-scale, data-intensive environments.

- Expert experience with Python or other scripting languages

- Expert in modern development practices (i.e. Git, Terraform, Docker, CI/CD).

- Expert with deploying and running software on Cloud Platform.

- Expert with contributing to Open Source Software.

Location: Sweden, Malmö (The team works mostly remote but onsite can be required thereby the resource location should be in Sweden preferably closer to Malmö area)
