Jeppesen Systems develops and implements state of the art technology and optimization systems for the world's leading railways and airlines.For more information, please see www.jeppesen.com/carmen Job Description: As an expert optimization consultant you will work at the office in Stockholm, were you will be a part of the Application Development team in Jeppesen's Rail, Logistics and Terminal Division.You will work with two parallel projects; Port application/product, Reko and the Vadis application at Green Cargo.Your tasks will mainly be focusing on the optimization parts of these products.In the part as an expert optimization consultant you will; .Be involved in all the stages of applications development, from assessing initial concepts with the business through to delivery, implementation and post line review.. Develop and implement new optimization models and proof-of-concepts . Work closely with the clients to present and teach them optimization At Jeppesen Systems you will be working in a fast-growing, international environment with some of the leading players in the global railway and logistics markets.You will be part of one of the world s leading resource optimization companies, using and developing cutting edge technology and state-of-the-art optimization. Required qualifications: . M.Sc or Ph.D.in Optimization .2-5 years experience of optimization .Good knowledge in English . Very good knowledge in OR A meriting qualification is knowledge in object-oriented programming, preferably Java, and experience from the transportation business.You should also have experience from using Dash/Xpress and/or ILOG/CPLEX.You are a person that takes responsibility for your tasks and have the ability to start activities to reach results.You work well with other people and understand the principles of business and how to put them into practice.
