Export control Specialist

What is Export Control?
National and international laws and regulations that controls:

Dual use and restricted products (e.g. militarized)

Dealings with unauthorized persons and companies

Trade and transactions with sanctioned and embargoed countries

 

About the position:

The main responsibility in this role is to secure that export of products and components comply with the export control regulations, spanning from high level compliance requirements to specific technical evaluations and issues in the supply chain.

Our customers daily work is steered by the military, dual-use and sanctions regulations globally. 

You are expected to support and participate in driving compliance activities for the customer.

The customer needs support within the following areas, but depending on experience and prior knowledge the role can be adjusted. 
• Drive investigations regarding product restrictions and secure the customers standpoints in relation to the export control regulations (e.g. military dual-use, and sanctions)
• Take an active role in investigations, projects and task forces with representatives from various functions for the customer such as Legal Departments, Sales divisions, Technology departments and Operations on specific export control matters

• Monitor and evaluate changes in laws and regulations related to Export Control in order to balance risks for the customer and update our processes.
• Drive improvement and implementation of internal processes for Sanctions and export control global compliance program.
• Take an active role in IT compliance related projects in close cooperation with internal stakeholders
• Take an active role or drive improvement initiatives ranging from small instruction implementations to larger IT-target map activities
• Support internal stakeholders in investigations and screening concerning international sanctions and export controls regulations
• Depending on prior knowledge of Export Control regulations - function as a center of expertise on technical evaluations for export control

Who are you?

We think you have a solid experience from product development, regulatory affairs, or engineering. Part of the job is to understand and interpret regulations and being able to explain them to others, as well as formulate the requirements, procedures and instructions to enable compliance. For this position it is valuable to be able to see both holistically and dive into details when needed.

Experience in export control, regulatory affairs or overall compliance functions is a merit. 

English is required, both verbally and written. Swedish or french is a merit.
