Opportunity to teach highly motivated American students
DIS- Study Abroad in Scandinavia is currently hiring an external lecturer with strong teaching skills to teach the Psychology of Loneliness.
The course will be offered during the Spring 2023 semester, from January 19 – May 12. The course meets at DIS Stockholm every Monday from 10.05-13.00, and there are academic field studies scheduled on two Wednesdays during the semester.

Main tasks and responsibilities
Classroom teaching and other experiential learning activities
Student assessment, grading, and feedback throughout the course
Planning and leading academic field studies to relevant institutions or companies
Professional competencies
Relevant educational background, Ph.D. in psychology an advantage
Work experience from your field of expertise
Experience with teaching is an advantage but not a requirement
Excellent academic English and capable of teaching in English
Flexibility, creativity, and openness to pedagogical support from DIS
Ability to translate DIS’ interactive, hands-on teaching philosophy into practice
Additional information
Materials from current syllabi are available (both readings and in-class teaching materials)
As long as the main objectives of the course are retained, topics can be adjusted according to the instructor’s background and expertise
Some topics can be covered by guest lecturers
