We are now seeking an experienced in vivo scientist to join the Alliance and Project Management team as an Externalisation Project Manager with a focus on therapeutic antisense oligonucleotides (ASOs). In this position, you will join the global Clinical Pharmacology and Safety Sciences (CPSS) organisation and you will be located at our dynamic R&D site in Gothenburg, Sweden.
In the CPSS organisation, we are working within a vibrant scientific environment to support drug discovery and development. CPSS characterize the non-clinical toxicology, off-target pharmacology, metabolism and pharmacokinetics of molecules. Collaborating with disease area project teams we help to discover efficacious molecules with good safety profiles.
What you'll do;
In this role you will work with external partners and internal scientists to coordinate and ensure effective delivery of quality in vivo data for a portfolio of drug projects. This role offers a unique opportunity to work with both internal and external stakeholders and partners to deliver new medicines to patients using this exciting drug modality.
We are looking for someone with great experience in in vivo sciences who wants to further develop or gain project management and alliance management skills and work closely with other scientists in the ASO area. You will work independently on multiple concurrent projects, utilizing your in vivo expertise, stakeholder and organizational skills.
Essentials in this role:
* An undergraduate qualification in biology, pharmacology or a related subject
* Expertise in in vivo sciences with experience in planning and execution of in vivo science experiments and subsequent data analysis
* An understanding of drug discovery and development
* Experience of delivery to multiple projects/customers
* Experience of identifying, mitigating and managing potential risks
Desirable in this role:
* Background/experience in toxicology or drug metabolism and pharmacokinetics (DMPK)
* Experience of project management
* Strong knowledge of working with GLP and GXP
* Experience of regulatory environments
* Experience working with contract research organisations (CROs)
