ESS is now looking for a Facility Management Design and Construction Engineer for the ESS Facility Management Group (ESS FM).

ESS FM is the organisation that will maintain and develop the buildings and systems within ESS to ensure that the high standard of the facilities is maintained while adjustments are made to meet new needs and demands coming from the users.

The Facility Management Design and Construction Engineer is to become a part of the FM Design & Construction group.

The scope of work for the FM Design & Construction team, with the Facility Management Group, contains mainly of project management of projects. The projects are of very different kinds and scope, but mainly with focus on changes of existing buildings/landscape/installations.  The buildings within ESS are installation dense with sensitive operations and many of the projects handled within FM Design & Construction have a high technical complexity.The projects are handled from start to finish, which means that you follow the projects from initiation until they are completed and handed over.In the scope of work for FM Design & Construction it is also included to safeguard the building assets with related systems and to maintain the facilities according to standards and baseline requirements.

Job description

Your main areas of responsibilities as a Facility Management Design and Construction Engineer will be to:


•  Supervise and manage projects (construction and/or installation projects)     
• Design management of projects (construction and/or installation projects)  
• Act as technical advisor to users in buildings
• Together with colleagues in FM Design & Construction team maintain and develop the high quality of service provided to FM and other ESS stakeholders
• Participate in the QA- and development work procedures within FM Design & Construction

Qualifications

The successful candidate will have: 


• Good knowledge in Swedish construction regulations and laws
• Experience from coordinating construction work across a broad spectrum of different installations
• Master of Science in Civil Engineering/Bachelor of Engineering or equivalent in work experience
• At least 5 years of experience in project management, construction management or design management in construction
• Interest and ability for new working methods and new computer technology aids
• Good ability to listen to customers’ needs
• Ability to structure and plan the work independently
• Good oral and written English skills
• Well-developed ability for both collaborative and independent work

We truly believe that you have excellent collaboration skills, working with people with different knowledge and background. You have a good understanding of how to coordinate work between different disciplines in a complex project, such as ESS. You are curious and interested to perform your own task, but also to collaborate and to help out the rest of the ESS FM team in their different disciplines. You have a well-developed ability to listen, consult others and to communicate and document proactively. You have an eye for details and take great pride in maintaining a high level of quality in all the work you carry out.

Duration & Location
The position is permanent with six months initial probationary period 

Your work place will be situated in Lund, Sweden. 

Start date
The position is to be filled as soon as possible.
