What’s in it for you
Currently we are looking for a subject matter expert engineer in Security and Fire Alarm Systems to Volvo Cars facilities and infrastructure in EMEA-region. In your function you will support both projects and property related services to be optimized. As SME (subject matters expert) you also have a responsibility to support Facility Mgmt Engineers Security and Fire Alarm Systems in all regions globally.
This role reports to Senior Manager FM Engineering and Projects and is a part of FM Global process Manage Facilities.
What you’ll do
You will ensure that there is guidelines for Security and Fire Alarm Systems globally and support the regions making maintenance schedules and long range replacement plans for all our properties.
This function will be a part of the Global FM processes supporting and driving improvements along with the way of working as well as standards belonging to it. A big part for this role will be to sustain a good network with the other regions and our plants. This function will also analyse trends and technics within Security and Fire Alarm Systems, work with KPI's and maintain legal requirements.
You and your skills
You should carry an university degree and solid experience in Security and Fire Alarm Systems, handling/risk, good knowledge of routines and processes. You have service management knowledge and applicable legal competence. Broad spectrum within operational development, quality concerns and economics from a facility management perspective, is desirable. As we are global organization, you also need to have excellent communication and presentation skills in English (both verbal & written).
On a personal side, you are a strong communicator who has ability to build good relationships and cooperate cross functionally. You have strong coaching skills and can influence others. You have strong analytical capability and strong business acumen in both efficiency and effectiveness. You are open to new ideas, you take initiatives and have high moral and integrity. Last but not the least, you act as a role model and show courage, well thought through judgement and persuasiveness at work.
