Facility Manager

Northvolt has an exciting job offer for a Facility Manager to join our passionate team in Skellefteå.
In joining us you will play an important part in Building, Commissioning and Starting one of the first large scale European battery factories. Northvolt will play an important role in the transformation to a carbon free society.
As a Facility Manager you will develop and execute maintenance strategy for facility maintenance with world class mindset in terms of availability and cost.
Key responsibilites
Implement, manage, and enforce health and safety policies and procedures.
Overall responsible for development and execution of maintenance strategy in facility area.
Recruit, train and develop a world class team for maintaining the facility area.
Responsible for setting strategies with purchasing for what need to be maintained internally and for which areas that should be outsourced.
Create and execute a plan for preventive and reactive maintenance.
Inspect buildings’ structures to determine the need for repairs or renovations.
Evaluation of needed spare parts, consumables and wear parts of the equipment and facilities for the area.
Responsible for larger reinvestments when needed.
Manage all facility maintenance staff (custodians, technicians, engineers, groundskeepers etc.) and external contractors.
Control maintenance activities (buildings, clean & dry rooms, fixed installations
Handle service contracts
Keep financial and non-financial records of the operations within the area.
Perform analysis and forecasting in terms of budget.
Responsible for developing the “4Ms” within the facility area – Manning, Machine, Method and Materials.
Continuous improvement organization: using data driven approaches to increase cost efficiency, organization efficiency and service level of organization.

Qualifications/education/experience
BSc or MSc in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent University degree with good understanding of basic financial principles
Proven leadership in large manufacturing organizations (50+ people)
Minimum 5-10 years’ experience of similar role with management and manufacturing

Capacity to move from strategic level to problem solving leader in the matter of seconds

Specific skills
Solid understanding of budgeting and statistical data analysis
Working knowledge of MS Office
