Northvolt has an exciting job offer for a Facility Technician to join our passionate Facility team in Skellefteå. In joining us you will play an important part from the very start in building one of the first large scale European battery factories. Northvolt will play an important role in the transformation to a carbon free society.
The Facility Technician will take part and contribute of planning and performing maintenance actions together with its teammembers. As part of the team you will have the opportunity to develop a competent and dependable team from scratch, capable to scale Northvolt’s operations in Sweden and beyond.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Inspect facilities periodically to determine problems and necessary maintenance.
- Monitoring and surveillance over facility systems.
- Perform extraordinary maintenance regarding internal and external parts of the property within specified intervals
- Plan and perform service of critical installations according to established requirements and timelines
- Focus on energy savings and sustainability
- Being a key player together with the rest of the team to develop and maintain a safe work environment according to health and safety regulations on site.

Education /Experience
- Fluency in English
- Good computer literacy (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
- Previous experience in maintenance or Facility Service, minimum 2 years.
- Valuable (but not required) if fluency in other languages, including Swedish
Specific Skills/Abilities
- Good technical knowledge about Facility Installations, BMS/UMS, Fire Alarm System, Sprinkler and other critical systems
- Experience in computer aided facility maintenance
- Proven skills in working with continuous improvements in an industrial environment.
- Solid understanding of health and safety regulations and practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Works well under pressure and meets tight deadlines.
- Structured with overall perspective
