You will be part of HVDC within the Hitachi ABB Power Grids division in Ludvika. The HVDC technology has been on the market for the past 60 years and is used to transmit power over long distances with minimal losses, using overhead lines, underground and submarine cable systems. Do you want to be part of a global company where you will be given opportunity to expand into new markets and create competitive tenders? As our Bid Manager, you will lead the team responsible for proposals for the Control and Protection (C&P) system of HVDC stations.
Your responsibilities
Integration and verification testing of the HVDC Control and Protection system in the factory, to fulfill system performance requirements
Implement industry standard tools and ensure adherence of testing strategy with industry standard protocols
Interface with other technical departments in the organization, to secure delivery of fit-for-purpose Control and Protection system solution
Ensure that procedures and processes used in testing area are known and prioritizing the project team accordingly
Contribute to improvement of Control and Protection system test planning and strategies
Your background
You are experienced in system design and testing of high voltage power electronics, preferably within HVDC technology.
You are structured, flexible and have established experience as a test manager.
You have genuine technical interest, open to develop your skills within other fields.
It is expected that you can effectively use Microsoft’s Office for planning, analysis and communication with concerned stakeholders.
You are a social person who actively collaborates with people from various business areas with an aim to effectively contribute for your responsible delivery in the value chain of the complete HVDC system delivery.
Since we are a global company, it is important that you are effectively work in a multi-cultural work environment.
You are fluent in written and spoken English. Knowledge of Swedish is desirable.
It is essential that you are positive to travel a couple of weeks in a year and that you always represent Hitachi ABB Power Grids the best possible way.
