There is now an opportunity for you to join us in the Verification and Validation management team as a Feature Leader for Reliability and Durability.
THIS IS US, YOUR NEW COLLEAGUES
Within the Verification and Validation department at Volvo Buses, you will work alongside some of the most accomplished colleagues in the industry. Our department consists of a prototype workshop, a wide fleet buses for field testing and internal haulages, project/product verification managers and test leaders - we are all working towards the same goal – to make our customers happy. THIS IS WHAT YOU WILL DO
As a Feature Leader for Reliability and Durability, you will be our leading reliability & durability expert, a coach on reliability and durability aspects for our product development initiatives.
You will have the possibility and responsibility to secure the targeted quality level for our end customers. Work will be performed close to the engineering department, services & uptime, product planning and purchasing among other departments.
You are expected to take a leading role in creating and participating in Volvo AB’s reliability community.
Activities include identification of critical components and failure modes, suggestion of verification and validation activities such as simulations, rig tests and/or complete vehicle tests, requirement setting, research into markets’ reliability & durability expectations, L10 calculations and FMEA participation.

PREFERRED SKILLS
Excellent knowledge in Reliability and Durability engineering, including Weibull analysis, reliability over time assessment
Working experience from the automotive industry, preferably within development, quality, or verification
Experience with requirement setting of components and systems
Very experienced in using quality tools and methods e.g. FMEA to identify different failure modes and mitigation actions
Good verbal and written communication skills in English
