Portfolio and Feature Brand Distinction is a function within Strategic Product Planning. We support Strategic Product Planning and Volvo Group Trucks Technology with market analysis, surveys and strategic directions. The strategy is used to set targets for new products enabling the Volvo Group brands to be in the lead when the Volvo Group transforms towards 100% fossil free in 2040.
We are now looking for a Feature Specialist, Transport Adaptation
The Position:
In this role you will be part of a team of specialist setting targets, priorities and strategic directions for our customer features. This is a true cross-functional holistic role where you will work with both internal and external contacts to set the directions for our development. The area of Transport Adaptation is evolved in cooperation with external companies and experts in the field of body building.
Our future is fossil free, electric and connected so one challenge in this position is to find new possibilities and solutions to improve the area with a true fossil free truck including the body. This covers not only the mechanical parts but also services and applications. The area of Transport Adaptation concerns the part of the truck that generates the income for the owner so it’s a focused area with a high customer impact.
To be successful in this task, you will work not only within the Strategic Product Planning but with different engineering functions to establish the strategic directions. You will keep track of and follow up Volvo Group products position in relation to the competition and the market development. The main areas to follow and understand, are:
Customer requests and transport industry
Technology push
Society and regulations

You will be in the midst of our transformation, so a holistic future-looking mindset is a key ability. You don’t hesitate to speak your mind and can present your conclusions and position in an easy to understand and convincing way.
You have a winning attitude always prepared to push the targets to secure products in the technology forefront.
You have an engineering background with minimum seven years of experience from relevant fields in the truck-, transport - or bodybuilder industry
