In this challenging and important role, as a Field Automation Specialist, you perform technical and application support activities such as on-site or remote support, installations, implementation of application, maintenance and repair of instruments, training of customers, and demonstrations. TECAN’s customers are found primarily in academic research, pharma industry and/or hospital laboratories. 

This role will suit someone who is self-motivated and enthusiastic and enjoys working independently as well as part of a team. You are action and solution oriented and customer focused and have strong analytical and diagnostic skills.

Responsibilities
You belong to an experienced team of application specialists and field service engineers who all share the passion for Life Science, Technology and our customer’s applications. The territory of this role is the Copenhagen region. There will be some clients outside this region, which might require a few overnight travels per year.  

Qualifications
To thrive and be happy in this job, we see that you bring the following knowledge and experience:


A BSc as a minimum, within biology or other relevant technical field
Exepreince in trouble shooting regarding installations and/or technical repair
Knowledge in software and programming, preferable in C#, Matlab, .Net and/or VB Script
Excellent knowledge in Danish and English
Driver’s license and ability to travel

It will be seen as a merit if you have practical experience in laboratory automation and/or med tech. As well as if you have experience in working with clients in biomedicine, research and/or diagnostics. A PhD degree will also be seen as an advantage. 

You are customer focused, and are an exceptionally good listener with ability to quickly understand and prioritize customer requirements. Excellent listening, verbal, and written communication skills are required. You have project management skills and plan your work efficiently. You bring a positive attitude and are self-motivated and enthusiastic, have excellent interpersonal skills and enjoy working independently as well as part of a team.
