Field Representativ, summer job

Oxfam är en global hjälporganisation som arbetar med människor mot fattigdom över hela världen. Vår vision är en rättvis värld utan fattigdom, där alla värderas och behandlas lika, har samma rättigheter och kan påverka sin egen framtid. För att nå dit arbetar vi med livräddande katastrofinsatser, långsiktiga projekt som ger människor möjlighet att lyfta sig ur fattigdom och politisk påverkan. Tillsammans med lokala partnerorganisationer, och sida vid sida med människor förändrar vi de förhållanden som orsakar fattigdom både på lång sikt och direkt här och nu.

Det svenska kontoret öppnade i mars 2014. Vårt mål är att informera allmänheten om Oxfams arbete, engagera människor i våra frågor, skapa förändring som gynnar kampen mot fattigdom och samla in pengar till verksamheten i världen.


DESCRIPTION
Are you looking for a summer job during June-August? Do you want to work for a fair world without poverty? Right now, we are looking for individuals for our new summer team! If you want to help people living in poverty and raise your voice against injustice, this important job could be for you.
 
YOUR MISSION
·      Recruit monthly donors via D2D or Street fundraising. We use the successful Face to Face fundraising method, used by a number of humanitarian organizations across the world.
·      Work in a team of fantastic people, who want to create positive change in the lives of the world’s most underprivileged sections of the population.
·      Be Oxfam’s representative in Swedish society
·      Positively influence people in Sweden about Oxfam’s work for people living in poverty and faced with natural calamities as well as conflicts in more than 90 countries in the world.

WHAT DO WE OFFER?

·      Salary: SEK 151 per hour, including holiday pay and unsociable hours. Possibility of fixed monthly salary and health/fitness allowance after 1.5 months of employment
·      Fulltime (32.5 hours) or part-time work, as agreed upon when commencing the employment

WHO ARE YOU?
·      You are a driven, empathetic, positive person with great verbal communication skills who likes to work in a team and wants to contribute to a better and fairer world
·      You think it’s fun to talk to people and inspire them for a humanitarian cause
·      You can express yourself in Swedish OR English without problem.
·      Previous work experience is not a prerequisite, but the following experience is an advantage:

• Experience working as a volunteer with non-profit organizations
• Experience with field fundraising or sales
