Field Service Engineer

Cepheid is a leading molecular diagnostics company that is dedicated to improving healthcare by developing, manufacturing, and marketing accurate yet easy-to-use molecular systems and tests. In our facilities in Solna we develop and manufacture diagnostics tests that improve patient outcome all over the world.

The role
The field service engineer will ensure customer happiness by conducting service, repair, and installation of Cepheid's GeneXpert Product line at customer site, including electrical and mechanical testing, in accordance with maintenance contracts. Responsibilities include, but not are not limited to:
Travel throughout Sweden, and other Nordic Countries as per needs on short notice to support our product- and field service partners
Manage installations and customer training.
Provide support on product instrumentation.
Perform routine standard procedures to isolate and fix problems in malfunctioning equipment or software
Work closely with the Technical support team to address customer complaints to determine corrective action and customer follow-up
Document and report design reliability, maintenance issues, and other problems to technical support.
Able work on-call on designated weekends to provide service support within a short period of time.



Qualifications
To best succeed in this role we are looking for someone that has minimum a high school degree, or equivalent experience, with 4-6 years of related work experience, or a technical trade degree with 2-4 years of relevant work experience. A background within mechanical-, software- or electronics engineering, or similar, would be suitable.

The role will require
proficiency in both Swedish and English (knowledge of other Nordic languages highly appreciated)
be able to stand for several hours
ability to perform repetitive arm and wrist motions
