We are currently seeking to hire a Field Service Engineer to join our team. As a Field Service Engineer at the High Voltage department, you will have the opportunity to work with several prominent customers, projects and with technology at the forefront, responsible for meeting daily service maintenance and repair needs for customer’s equipment. In the role as Field Service Engineer you will be a key person supporting external customers as well as internal and will also perform required necessary administrative duties and other duties as assigned.
Essential Job Responsibilities
The FSE performs the major functions listed below.
Execute service activities all over EMEA region (providing on-site or remote technical customer service such as troubleshooting, repairs and maintenance) and act as the technical point person between customers and KraftPowercon teams.
Basic troubleshooting, installation, maintenance, and repair on designated equipment.
Completing Preventative Maintenance and field modifications.
Order registration in business system M3 and managing registered orders throughout the process.
Keeping up to date on administrative responsibilities such as maintaining spare part inventory and internal service records in a timely manner
Maintaining communications with customers to ensure resolution and proper follow-up.
Maintaining tools and test equipment and ensuring they are properly calibrated.
Meeting Health and Human Services, Environmental Health and Safety and/or all other applicable regulatory requirements.
Identifying and participating in sales opportunities such as equipment upgrade and new system sales.
Working as a member of the local and global team to provide efficient service



Qualifications & Requirements
The following qualifications are the minimum requirements necessary to successfully perform this role, however, any equivalent combination of experience, education, and training, which provides the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities, would be acceptable.
Bachelor’s degree, Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, Associates Degree with 2 or more years’ experience in servicing precipitator power supplies and controls or a High School Diploma/GED and 10 or more years’ experience servicing precipitator power supplies and controls, or equivalent.
Experience interfacing with both internal team members and external customers as part of a solution-based service process.
Valid driver’s license and good driving record is required.
Five years’ work experience in the power plant, pulp & paper, petrochemical and/or mines and minerals industry is preferred.
Experience diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electromechanical, and/or electronic equipment.
Needs to be able to understand how an Electrostatic Precipitator and its power supplies work, be able to read and understand electrical/mechanical drawings.
Must be able to handle an oscilloscope, multimeter etc.
Experience troubleshooting and responding to customer concerns.
Proven record of being reliable and accountable for all aspects of their job.
Proficient level of computer skills including MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
Excellent analytical, interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to communicate complex technical issues in an easy-to-understand manner.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, self-directed, entrepreneurial environment.
Resourceful, with the ability to work independently.
Strong time management skills.
Ability to adapt to changing circumstances.
Decision-making, problem resolution and creative thinking skills.
Attention to detail.
Ability to multi-task activities with shifting priorities.
Proficient language skills in English and Swedish.
