The role of field service engineering centers around offering technical support to customers, which includes the commissioning, installation, and testing of equipment and products. This position requires identifying and addressing complex issues that can occur during the start-up process. It also involves researching and recommending new products or upgrades that cater to customer needs. Establishing strong, ongoing relationships with clients is crucial for securing future business. Additionally, the engineer may troubleshoot implementation issues and train customers on how to effectively use their purchased equipment, particularly for High Voltage products from Hitachi Energy.
How you'll make an impact
Field service activities on High Voltage equipment manufactured by Hitachi Energy.
Installation and commissioning of high voltage apparatus with special focus on live tank breakers
Service support on common field activities to main industry and system operators in Sweden
Collaborate with other Field Service Engineers in Hitachi Energy on site activities with high focus on health and safety regulations
Be an extended arm to our sales responsible transmitting customer’s needs and proposing ideas of improvements
This role includes a lot of traveling across the world.
Your background
A degree in engineering or a technical area focused on energy, electricity, or something similar is highly desirable.
Several of years of experience in Field Services into the energy sector. Experience with High Voltage is beneficial.
Knowledge on continuous improvement and LEAN principles are advantageous.
Knowledge on the High Voltage business areas is required
English is a must, understanding of Swedish is desirable, whereas other languages are a strong advantage
