We are building a state-of-the-art Gigafactory that will be one of the largest cell production facilities in Europe and construction is set to begin in 2023. To make that happen we need the best to join our in-house Engineering, Procurement & Construction Management (EPCM) team. About the role:
Currently, we are seeking an experienced and competent Field Supervisor for a leading role in scaffolding works. As a Field Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in the early stages of the project by ensuring the strategy and prerequisites for scaffolding works during construction and maintenance at our worksite. Your proactive support and assistance to the Site Logistics Manager will contribute to the successful execution of assigned tasks.
In this position, you will hold a key role within our Facility Management organization at the construction site of the new battery factory in Torslanda. You will report directly to the Site Logistics Manager and be responsible for coordinating access through scaffolding and lifts during both construction and facility management. Collaboration with scaffolding companies and our contractors will be an essential part of your role. Although you will spend most of your time in the production environment, you will also play a significant role in the design and planning of these functions.
We are looking for someone with attention to detail and a strong desire to exceed expectations. You should have a positive attitude and an entrepreneurial spirit while being able to handle a fast-paced environment and tight deadlines with ease. The ability to work effectively in a team environment is crucial, while also being comfortable working independently. Experience working in an international environment is advantageous. Responsibilities in this role will include:
- Leading, planning, and coordinating scaffolding works and lift usage
- Providing input and reviewing the design of scaffolding to ensure functionality during construction and operation
- Preparing specifications, plans, cost estimates, and reports related to the project scope
- Ensuring work preparations and risk assessments are carried out for both internal staff and subcontractors
- Managing scaffolding and equipment in an economical and efficient manner
- Identifying risks, conducting safety inspections, and proactively working to mitigate risks from an operational and safety perspective
Experience requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or similar work experience
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience, preferably in scaffolding construction
- Experience in large-scale construction projects with multidisciplinary complexity
- Strong technical experience in construction supervision
- Good communication skills.
- Fluent in spoken and written English, Swedish is a plus
- Experience working on Swedish construction sites is a plus
