We invite you to join our team.Job description We currently have a vacancy for a Field Support Engineer in our PPC (Propulsion & Controls) Division based in Västerås Sweden The key focus of the Field Support Engineer role is the responsibility for commissioning PPC products, ensuring all capabilities of the system are demonstrated in the final operational configuration under defined agreements with customers.The successful candidate will also be heavily involved in assisting PPC Engineering teams in the verification and validation type testing, tracing faults, and ensuring all captured information is effectively and efficiently fed back to the business through the appropriate channels.Responsibilities: -Assist the PPC Engineers in type-testing all of PPC products in the field.-Commissioning -Manage all Warranty issues for the end customer.-Effective feedback and reporting from the field.This will include all performance and reliability issues.-Put PPC related equipment in to operation in the vehicle.-Fault tracing -Training of local site personnel The key interactions with this role will include externally, the Project product Introduction Manager, Product Manager, PPC Engineering teams and any operational support teams.Externally, you will have very close customer and Train Operator contact, so good customer facing skills are essential for this position. Qualifications: -Experience of a similar role within Rail Industry would be highly advantageous.-Strong experience and skills in the area of technical measurements.-Experience and aptitude for technical testing in engineering.-Good IT skills, especially Microsoft Excel and Lotus Notes.-Good knowledge of English language.-Excellent customer facing, communication skills required.-Ability to travel at short notice.-Ability to manage own time.
