The Field Support Technician with Focus area SCADA and Park IT is a position usually based close too or inside the wind farms of the Service Areas in UK&Ireland and Nordics. The purpose of this position is to deliver on site/remote technical support as well as implementing SCADA and Park IT related solutions for the local field operations in UK&Ireland and Nordic Regions. In order to increase data availability and ensure connectivity of the wind frams it will be necessary to troubleshoot IT equipment on site or remotely in various wind farms as well as analyzing data and other information to be able to create and support the implementation of action plans that will increase data availability in the fleet. These include but are not limited to: performance analysis, on site actin plan implementation, analyzing data, analyzing reports, close cooperation with Technicians and Back Office staff, performing on the job demonstrations, on site improvements at problem equipment, on site software and hardware updates, online and over phone technical support, creating reports on turbine or turbine components as well as parameter changes and alarm change handling when necessary.
Job requirements
Education and Qualifications:
Wind turbine technician Course
Preferable to have Electrical and IT qualification
Computer and software handling
Preferable to have Database handling qualification
Computer literate strong on SAP and Microsoft products
Experience:
Must be Health and Safety aware
Must have Experience in wind Industry technician role
Must have experience in planning and executing projects from start to finish
Must have experience in troubleshooting on wind turbines
Must have experience in troubleshooting of SCADA and other Park IT related equipment
Must have NC2 update experience
Ideally have experience with SQL databases
Ideally have experience with SharePoint
Ideally have experience giving technical support and instruction on site as well as by phone
Skills/Personal Profile:
Able to work at heights
Systematic problem solving behavior
Good technical skills
Good practical troubleshooting skills
Hands on practical work experience
Good Analytical skills
Good communication skills and willing to be available for on-site and phone support
Good planning and organizational skills
Willing to travel regularly, including nights away from home.
Can work well in a team or autonomously
