Do you want to verify function and reliability of powertrain? On behalf of our world leading automotive client we are now looking for a Field Test Engineer with 4-6 years experience within the domain for their increasing consultancy. The mission will start in the beginning of March or after agreement where the right consultant will be extended or hired after 9 months. Arbetsuppgifter

As a Field Test Engineer you will have responsibility within Product Development to verify function and reliability as well as validate customer perception on complete trucks and systems/components on trucks running in daily operation at hauliers around the world.

Our client use their network of designated dealers at different markets to find the best testing environment for each test object. Theirs deliverables are technical reports containing faults, subjective opinions as part of external validation and measurement data. The operation is unique within Product Development in the respect of the close contact with dealers, drivers, hauliers and external workshops where assigned technicians are our prolonged arm.

Our client expertise lies within our knowledge about actual customer usage of our complete products in different markets and applications. The group is located in Gothenburg and works in close cooperation with Field test engineers all over the world. Field tests are normally ongoing for 1-2 years and the test objects are located far away from the Test Engineer. Due to this the test engineer more coordinates than actually conducts the test. Frequent re-planning and prioritizations are usual business as well as communication with a large network of various persons, both internally and externally.

The main goal is to prove that the product is working in its real environment. When doing this it’s equally important to keep the end customer happy through high uptime as it´s important to report found faults (Protus and ER-reports) to the internal customers. The tests ranges from component tests in customer owned trucks to large tests with fleets consisting of up to around 50 trucks spread across the world.

In the large test you could as a Field test engineer either be responsible for a number of trucks in the test or managing the entire test. We are now looking for a person that can be responsible for a number of trucks. You should have the ability to quick understand complex technical matters of various kinds covering all areas on the truck to be able to make prioritization and take decisions.

Utbildning/erfarenhet

- University degree in engineering
- Knowledge about complete truck and customer usage
- Background, 4-6 years, within automotive industry.
- Fluent in Swedish and English
