Radio Design is responsible for research, development, and maintenance of Radio Units in Ericsson Radio Base Station products. One of our major challenges is to develop and deliver high-performance, high-volume Radio Hardware in short timeframes. To achieve this goal, we brought together a team of acknowledged specialists in different competence areas and we use the latest design and simulation tools. We consistently keep track of new technology, methodology and design techniques, ensuring that all radio design activities hold a competitive level.
We are now looking for new developers with a deep interest and knowledge in filter design, to work closely with our suppliers of filter products. By joining our Team, an important part of your role will be to secure new embedded filter products to be developed in time and with high-quality. In this context, you will interface internal Radio design, Mechanical design, Sourcing, Production and Production test, and engineering. You will act as the main technical contact towards our filter suppliers on a daily basis, involved in various filter development activities like requirement analysis and definition, design, integration, verification and product documentation. You will be the one who reviews and evaluates the filter designs end-to-end, from start to secure volume production, with constantly high focus on quality.
Finally, a large extent of our work is performed together with Ericsson’s Teams as well as suppliers worldwide. Co-operation with other design centers in Sweden and all over the World is our day-to-day reality and should represent an additional motivation for you to join our Organization.

Job Description
We are looking for an ambitious Filter Designer and a team worker. You have strong analytical skills and are a fast learner. You have high interest and experience in the field of high-frequency filters and their use in complex radio products and advanced antenna systems for cellular radio networks.
As a Filter Designer, you will be a member of a team that is developing the next generation of Ericsson radio products. You will participate in sourced filter developments for our radio products and solutions, you will contribute to the evolution of our product portfolio, participate in pre-development projects as well as in technical studies and follow the developments in 5G Radio systems.
You will
Analyze, define and handle embedded filter requirements needed for our 5G radio products
Collaborate and be the main technical contact with high-frequency filter suppliers worldwide
Simulate and develop filter design solutions
Review and analyze design solutions and work with continuous improvements in products and processes
Secure and develop high-quality products using quality assurance methods and tools, like Failure Mode Effect Analysis (FMEA)
Develop competence in the technical domain
Work with strategic technical leadership
Provide troubleshooting and customer support
Perform practical work with filter prototypes
Perform verification of high-quality, high-frequency filter products
To be successful in the role you must have
MSc degree in physics or electrical engineering or equivalent
At least 3-4 years of extensive experience in Filter Technology, including design knowledge and production processes
Strong knowledge of Radio design
Good understanding of cellular radio networks
HFSS and ADS, RF design tools knowledge
Good knowledge in Radio/RF/filter technologies and products
Ability to work in a cross-functional and network-oriented organization
Good knowledge and understanding of the importance of product quality assurance
Innovating, adapting, and responding to change abilities
Excellent written and oral communications skills (English)
Developed collaboration skills
Good skills in handling relationships with external suppliers
Lean & Agile knowledge and skills
This position will report to Manager Filter & Antenna Design 3.
