Finacial Accountant/Financial Controller

We are currently looking for a Financial Accountant / Financial Controller for the multinational pharmaceutical company Novartis Finance & Administration department in Sweden (Täby). The Financial Accountant will report to the FRA Manager Pharma.

Responsibilities:

The Financial Accountant is responsible for ensuring the integrity, efficiency and accuracy of the reporting and accounting for the Scandinavian Pharma entities, as well as the local statutory guidelines.

You will be responsible of managing the GL for Pharma and drive the month end closing process. Prepare balance sheet review, as well as current and deferred income tax calculation. You will monitor aging of AP ledger, balance sheet and intercompany reconciliation, and be involved in statutory and tax activities. You will support the organisation in accounting and payment matters. Ensure timely and accurate reporting information to internal and external stakeholders. Monitor and manage shared service centre deliverables as well as ensure internal financial control and compliance.

To be successful in this role it is therefore essential you do efficient, accurate and timely accounting and reporting. You are able to prioritize tasks and manage deadlines. You continuously improve financial processes, adapt and apply different or new approaches to different situations. You ensure reliability and accuracy of financial and control sub-systems; timeliness and quality of internal reporting, as well as auditor satisfaction with audit efficiency and provision of requested materials. You provide internal customers with timeliness of reporting information. Ultimately you are an accountable and independent worker.

Searched profile:

A University degree in Accounting/Economics is desirable. You have 3 to 6 years experience in accounting, preferably with auditing background. You have a strong track record of internal control focus and process management. Experience from working in a multinational company is essential. Excellent understanding and ability with ERP systems, SAP being a strong advantage. Fluency in English is a prerequisite, Swedish or another Nordic language is an advantage.
