ESS is now looking for a Finance Administrator for the Finance Group organised within the Project Support and Administration Directorate. The Finance Group consists of 7 staff members, including this position. We are working with Unit4 ERP/Agresso and for scanning we use Readsoft. The main responsibility for the group is to ensure high quality of the general ledger in interest of the stakeholders; our member countries. 

Job description

We are looking for a skilled Finance Administrator for processing invoices received for payment. The main areas of responsibilities will be to:


• Process supplier invoices in compliance with financial policies and procedures
• Perform day to day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, and recording accounts payable data
• Reconcile the accounts payable ledger to ensure that all bills and payments are accounted for and properly posted.
• Verify and investigate discrepancies, if any.
• Understand expense accounts and cost centers
• Understands compliance issues around accounts payable processes (VAT).

There is also an opportunity to influence the work process and be involved in the annual closing.

Qualifications

The successful candidate has a Financial degree or other relevant education focused in accounting and finance, good knowledge in Swedish accounting standards and tax laws and 5-10 years of working experience within financial accounting. 

The suitable candidate has experience of working in an international environment and have very good oral and written English skills, as well as good Swedish skills.

Duration & Location
The position is permanent with six months initial probationary period.

Your work place will be situated in Lund, Sweden.
