Finance Assistant - General Ledger

Our Nordic & Baltic head office is placed in Gothenburg.The Nordic/Baltic Area, Finance and Accounting department is looking for a new team member to our general ledger group.The position is located at the Maersk Sweden office in Gothenburg. The Nordic Accounting department is fully functional and handles transactions for all business entities, e.g.agency, liner, logistics.The accounting department is split into general ledger, exception handling, business process, self service procurement/travel expense management sections. General areas of responsibility: .General Accounting .Posting of journal vouchers .Reconciliations .Period end / monthly book-close .Invoicing .Clearing .Other accounting-issues The Candidate The ideal candidate is thorough, structured and have a high attention to detail and quality.The person must also be self-motivated and prepared to challenge the current processes.It is an advantage if the candidate has experience from other accounting functions.Please apply through our job portal at www.maersk.com as soon as possible but no later than May 20, 2007.
