Financial Control & Accounting (FCA) is the function in Group Reporting Tax & Control (part of Group Finance) with responsibility to secure that financial performance is correctly reflected for Business Areas, Truck Divisions, Group Functions and legal entities. FCA is also a global service provider through Accounting Services with process efficient, standardized service deliveries supporting local finance. FCA employs 1400+ people in 50+ countries.
The IT & Digitalization function is responsible for the digitalization strategy and IT investment within Financial Control & Accounting.


As Finance Automation Manager, you will be responsible for the automation of finance processes and lead a global cross-functional team of automation champions from different finance organizations, present at the main sites of the Volvo group.


Together with the virtual team, you will drive and promote citizen development as well as defining the processes to be automated by advanced solutions developed by our Center of Excellence in Bangalore. Technologies such as Low-code development, Robotic Process Automation, Machine Learning, Document capture and Data analytics are combined to automate of end-to-end processes.


Your objective is to scale up and accelerate automation, supported by well-defined governance structures and routines to manage backlogs, priorities, stakeholder dialogues, cost of development, maintenance, etc.


Key Responsibilities
Drive the automation in Finance organizations, including but not limited to Financial Control & Accounting and Business Control in our Business Areas / Truck Divisions
Support finance organizations to identify what can/should be automated by solutions developed by the automation COE as well as by citizen development
Spread awareness and support finance organizations across the group in building competence in automation and relevant tools
Manage a virtual team with members from different finance organizations, promoting reuse of solutions and sharing of ideas
Define and establish governance required to support a well-controlled scale-up and acceleration of automation
Prioritize and follow up implementation of solutions
Build structures and routines to secure reuse of solutions in all organizations where relevant
Manage the continuous dialogue with stakeholders in different finance organizations
In dialogue with our COE and Group IT, develop the portfolio of technologies for automation and different types of use cases.

Skills Requirements
Experience from leading digitalization and utilization of the following technologies: Low-code development, Robotic Process Automation, Machine Learning, Data analytics
Experienced in business process development in Finance and administration
Proven skills in analysis and prioritization of business requirement
Proven leadership skills
Strong team working skills in matrixes and geographically diversified virtual teams
Experience from leading projects delivering IT-solutions, preferably involving the above-mentioned technologies
Communication and management of relations with stakeholders on senior management level in a global context
