PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
As a Finance Director you will be responsible for the Nordic countries, Sweden, Denmark, Norway and Finland. The position holder will be responsible for directing the company’s overall Nordic Finance activities and for providing financial leadership, guidance and assistance to all functional leaders and locations. You are leading the team and you are responsible for the financial operating model follow-up on a monthly basis. You are a hands- on and participative manager. The position is located at our site in Gothenburg and reporting to General Manager Nordics.
Primary Responsibilities:
• You will be responsible for the oversight of the finance, controlling and accounting activities of the region comprised of 4 selling units a including development and implementation of finance policies, coordination of systems and procedures, and the preparation of financial statements
• Direct activities associated with the establishment of a robust operational financial controls and reporting environment for the region supporting the business growth objectives
• Manage month end reporting, and forecast and ensure that reporting to the group is done in accurate and timely manner
• Work closely with functional and country managers in conducting detailed financial and business analyses to identify potential problems, determine root causes and recommend appropriate solutions
• Develop and maintain forecasting processes that accurately predict future performance and motivate actions to ensure it hits agreed upon target
• Drive operational business improvement initiatives on Gross Margin, Working Capital & Operating expenses
• Drive continuous improvement within the Finance Organization and the wider business
• Function as business partner for Regional Team members assisting them in budgeting, forecasting and managing spending
• Participate in the roll out of projects related to the group ERP
Your Profile:
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a role managing direct reports
• BA Degree in Finance or Accounting is required
• Knowledge of various reporting systems ability to create reports and presentations for senior leadership is essential
• Strong strategic financial acumen to anticipate consequences and business impacts, drive levers to affect financial results, and make recommendations for business growth and controllership improvements
• Excellent analytical skills including the ability to perform and train others in variance analysis
• Excellent oral and written communication skills and experience working closely with internal and external stakeholders
• Highly self-motivated, possess executive presence in terms of managing up in the organization and be able to communicate clearly, effectively and efficiently issues that have substantial impact to the business
• Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate at all levels and cross culturally
• Strong problem solving skills demonstrating the ability to take on new projects and responsibilities with minimal guidance and to understand key drivers/trends of the business
• Commercial interest and strong Business Partner Skills
• International experience
• Fluent in spoken and written Swedish and English
