Finance Manager

Verisure is seeking a talented, innovative, and passionate Finance manager to support our Technology platform and become a business partner to our awarded global R&D team in Malmo/ Madrid. The role will report to the Senior Group Finance Manager (based in Geneva HQ) and be a critical part of our Group organization in our industry leading Innovation centre in Madrid.
This position offers an opportunity to impact on Verisure’s ambitious Technology developments and innovation programmes. The successful candidate will be expected to impact quickly and develop as the business grows.
The Finance Manager - Technology will be a part of the Group Finance Technology team (based in Geneva/ Switzerland; Malmo/ Sweden; and Madrid/ Spain) and have a team of two employees.

The role
In this fast-growth and transformational context, Verisure is looking to recruit Finance Manager - Technology who will provide Financial Leadership and Business Partnering to the Group Technology Organization (IT and R&D). The incumbent will be instrumental in leveraging and impacting on our global tech environment and population by building a holistic view and driving a strong customer services culture. Amongst other things, the successful candidate help defining product pipeline roadmaps, improve reporting and enhance cost models that have a direct impact on the business. Main responsibilities of this position:
· Commercial Finance/Business Partnering:
o Business Partnering and financial support to the Technology Organization (Global R&D + North IT). Ensure transparent, consistent, accurate planning & reporting. Champion an environment of innovation, earn trust with stakeholders. Viewed by functional & business partners as the expert and “go to” key source. Represent Finance function in the north technology management team.
· Financial Controlling:
o Technology Controlling: Lead the month end review process with IT, and R&D budget owners (actuals vs budget). Ensure that performance and cost indicators are properly recorded, filed, and reported. Examine reports and data closely to check for discrepancies.
o Financial Planning and Reporting: Lead/ Co-Lead the North IT and global R&D budget process, ensure synchronization between different budgeting parties to deliver robust and realistic plans, communicate clearly and transparently with key stakeholders.
o Stewardship: Provide support and guidance on internal and external policies to business partners. Continuous auditing for reporting, analysis, and finance processes impacting the business. Coach direct reports on stewardship related matters.
o Process Optimization: Collaborate with the wider Group Tech Finance team to develop processes/ templates/ tools for effective planning, controlling and reporting.
o Reporting Improvements: Ongoing improvement of management reports such as Opex/Capex, Project tracking, FTE, Time reporting, etc.
o Business leadership: Goes beyond the mere reporting of data. Insight and well-articulated action steps accompany all reports. Anticipates and resolves issues and captures value creation opportunities.
· Analysis/Projects:
o Own & drive relevant financial analysis/projects within the Group Technology areas. Provide clear, and actionable data, insights & tools to support business partners in decision making and achieving goals. Share learnings within the Group Finance team and beyond.
o Drive simplification projects and process standardization between North and South platforms.
· Developing the organization:
o Manage and coach 2 direct reports
o Lead share & reapply sessions, organizational projects, etc. Coach colleagues and articulate and apply best practice.


Experiences and Qualifications
We are looking for a high potential / top performer individual who will have the opportunity to have a real impact on the business and the organization.
· 5-6 years of finance experience in an international context (ideally involved with Technology) in a generalist or specialist capacity – ideally with a focus on Financial Planning and Analysis
· Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Finance or Business Administration
· Successful track record having worked, led and performed in multicultural and matrix environments in contexts of high growth, change and transformation.
· With agility, outstanding analytical skills and business judgment this person will have the ability to pick up concepts quickly, dive deep into issues and effectively collaborate within a dynamic and fast-paced distributed environment.
· Excellent command of English and Spanish. Other European languages a plus.
