Finance Officer

The Project Support & Administration Directorate at the European Spallation Source (ESS) in Lund, Sweden, invites applications for a Finance Officer.

Description of directorate/division
The Project Support and Finance division has two major areas:


• Project support which includes project and risk management processes and skills as well as managing total cost, schedule and risk for the construction of ESS

• Finance which includes accounting, cash flow, currencies, external reporting including annual and quarterly reports and internal reporting

The Project Support and Finance division currently consists of 16 staff but recruitment is on-going.

Description of main responsibilities
To work with the handling of suppier invoices, i.e. receiving, scanning, coding, initiation authorization process and preparing payments.



• Distribute supplier invoices in ESS ERP system (Agresso)

• Prepare suggestion of coding of invoice to approver

• Prepare weekly payment files for supplier invoices to the bank

• Recording of payments to suppliers in subledger and General Ledger

• Support in monthly closure of the financial books (reconciliations)

Qualifications
To be successful and perform well in this position we believe that you have at least several years´ hand-on experience working in a large business accounting department. If you have courses in accounting it would be an advantage. As person you are a dedicated and flexible team player with high personal integrity.
