During this assigment will you be hired by Wrknest and work as a consultant.
Assignment description
Short term contract to fill a resourcing shortage in Group Accounting 2 over the busy year end annual reporting period, due to one team member leaving mid December, and one team member leaving end of January. Remaining team will be busy with handovers and cross training (in addition to existing responsibilities), so would appreciate an extra resource who can jump straight in and support with ongoing accounting tasks, particularly balance sheet reconciliations, daily AP/AR account clearing. Hiring
is currently underway to find permanent replacements, however the notice period in Germany is usually 3 months so we are not expecting to be able to fill the roles that quickly.
Tasks and responsibilities
- Prepare balance sheet account reconciliations
- Review balance sheet account reconciliations
- Investigate/resolve differences on the reconciliations
- Support with preparation of financial statements
- Support with adhoc month end closing tasks as needed
- Support with monitoring daily bank transactions and clearing AP/AR balances
Required Skill-set
Financial accounting experience, 2-5 years. Relevant degree in accounting/finance/business. Proactive and can get started with tasks with minimal guidance. Not afraid to ask questions and raise issues as they come along, or take initiative to improve processes as they are doing them.
