Division
This position is based in Uppsala where Thermo Fisher develop, manufacture, and market complete blood test systems to support the clinical diagnosis and monitoring of allergy, asthma, and autoimmune diseases. With 1,900 employees worldwide, and 1,000 in Sweden, we are the global leader in in-vitro allergy testing and the European leader in autoimmunity diagnostics.
Role
The Analyst will provide Business Intelligence in a cross-functional team supporting Project Management, Finance Business Partner CoE Functions and Line Managers in a project driven environment. There will be various stakeholders in the organization from various management levels that this position will coordinate, support and work with. This includes collection of data, build databases, conduct analyses, develop metrics that will give valuable insights on the various contributions projects have to the business.
The position reports into Finance Business partner Global Marketing & Project Management. Focus is on strategically important projects for the Division. As new created position the right candidate has the opportunity to set the right focus that makes a real difference to the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Project reporting
Develop PowerBI reports on Project Cost and Resource follow up
Deviation analysis of resources and costs
Support data-based Project prioritization
Maintain and develop templates facilitating profitability analysis of Business case Financials, and Forecasting/Budgeting
Project Prioritization
Support Project Manager/project owner in describing financial business case driving data based project prioritization
Project planning and budgeting
Rolling Forecasts
Annual Operating and strategic planning
Develop and establish processes and tools that supports Planning process of projects
Project based Accounting
Provide transactional support to project managers, line managers, functional Controller and Financial Global Shared Services (GBS)
Support monthly closing: review actual project spend, assess accrual need
Develop organizational capabilities
Develop and describe and processes and standard of Operations setting the base for project based accounting
Partner with Project & Line Management
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
The right candidate is self-motivated and results oriented individual with well-developed analytical skills and the ability to work with multiple projects concurrently
High communication skills with the ability to communicate openly with all levels of the organization
Detail oriented, hands-on high-energy style
Results oriented
Experience in working within a global multi-site organization
Professional English language skills
Job Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or other relevant background
In depth knowledge of cost accounting and profitability analysis
Experience 3-5 years as Business Controller ideally in a project oriented environment
Strong knowledge in Excel, SAP, Cognos and Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) and Business Intelligence is required. Development of PowerBi Database-design & -management experience are considered to be a plus.
