PMI has more than 75,000 employees and its products are sold in over 160 countries.The Company held a 15.6% share of the international cigarette market outside of the United States in 2007.For more information, see www.pmintl.com.Job description: You will be based at the head office in Stockholm.Under the supervision and guidance of the head of department you will prepare, consolidate, analyze and submit budget data and PM Nordics reporting (monthly, quarterly and yearly).You will provide ad-hoc financial analysis according to the needs and instructions of PMI and PM Nordics management in order to ensure that data presented are accurate achievable and in line with PMI objectives and hence can be used as a valid tool for strategic decisions.You will also analyse accounting bookings and company cost evolution vs.budget and identify and explain deviations leading to corrective actions. As a financial analyst you will: *Analyze revenue / cost booked at month-end close (variance analysis) *Learn and understand different processes and how to translate needs into meaningful process improvements *Maintain an efficient and effective Management Reporting function which covers all Finance aspects of activities in order to enable effective monitoring of the Company's financial performance and to support Management with executive variance analysis to be used as a management decision tool *Ensure accuracy and integrity of the databases; understand the global structure of the systems used and the links between the various systems in order to maintain them and reflecting business changes It s important that you propose improvements to current work processes and analysis methods and ensure that they are continuously adapted to business requirements in order to maximize budget & reporting process efficiencies.You will work in a Multinational environment with different culture.We believe that you are open to international assignments within a few years. Qualifications: *University degree in Business, Economics or Finance *Two or more years professional experience as an auditor in an international independent accounting firm or two or more years professional experience in a large multinational or international business with exposure to finance/financial analysis *Experience in Financial Reporting systems *General Accounting knowledge, US GAAP or IAS accounting standards is a plus As a person you initiate activities and achieve results.You have an analytical way of thinking as well as interpersonal understanding.To be successful in your new role it s important that you have the ability to cooperate and to work well in a team.As a financial analyst you must be able to adapt easily to changes and work well under tight time pressure.Philip Morris is an international company and it s important that you are fluent in both Swedish and English with strong verbal and written communication skills.
