The Technology Department is responsible for technologies which are specific to existing particle accelerators, facilities, and future projects. In the TE department, included in the Accelerator and Technology Sector, under the overall supervision of the Departmental Planning Officer, you will contribute to the budget management, financial accounting and reporting, performance planning and monitoring, to support the efficient and effective utilization of resources and strengthen the financial performance of the department. You will be active in central activities essential to the smooth running of the TE department with numerous interactions with group leaders and business stakeholders.
Functions:
As Financial Assistant in the Group Leaders Office of the Resources Apprentices and Safety (RAS) Group, you will be part of a small, versatile team providing support to the high-level management on the planning and monitoring of financial expenses and personnel. Additional tasks performed by the team include data management, participation in regular accounting book-closes, financial follow up on specific activities, and the production of reports and/or statistics as requested.
The Financial Assistant will contribute to all financial processes related to operation activities and projects, in addition to the planning of personnel. You will work in the back office and will take on the following responsibilities:
-Maintaining the planning tool up to date in terms of resources (material and personnel) throughout the year and after each financial process
-Preparing the related files to be distributed to group leaders for each financial process during the year
-Following-up of accruals, orders and pipelines every 3 months and contributing to book closing each end of the year
-Carrying out regular analysis, controls and reports on financial expenses or planning as requested
-Collaborating with both clients, internal stakeholders and external contacts.

Qualifications:
Higher administrative diploma or equivalent relevant experience in the field of finance, accounting or a related field.
Experience/ The experience required for this post is:
-Demonstrated experience as financial/accounting assistant either as first line or back-office support for a large community of customers in a multicultural environment.
-Demonstrated experience in multi-tasking, dealing with tight deadlines and a large volume of work.
-Demonstrated experience in the interpretation of financial rules and procedures as well as in their application.
-Proven experience in using a diverse set of modern office computing tools and in maintaining and archiving data and documents.
-Accounting and/or financial reporting experience would be an asset.
