Are you ready for your next step in your financial career? To the Financial Compliance team, we are looking for a Financial Compliance Manager to be based at our headquarters in central Stockholm.
The Financial Compliance function aims to improve the control environment and internal controls within the Business Area Sandvik Mining and Rock Solutions (SMR). This is achieved by improving the effectiveness and efficiency of financial operations and processes, increasing the reliability of financial reporting, and reducing the number of unexpected changes or misstatements.
Your mission
In this position, you report to the Business Areas Director of Financial Control, and you will provide expertise in governance and the internal control environment. The Business Area has been successful in building a standardized and well working Internal control environment. Now, we aim to take the next step with further integration and automation, making it an even stronger management tool in conjunction with the roll out of SAP ERP solution S4/Hana across our Sales areas.
In this role you lead a highly motivated and competent team of three Financial Compliance Regional Controllers (FCRC). You also support a Region on your own, Asia and Australia with all internal control requirements by advising best practice and controls, ensuring that correct procedures and protocols are being followed across entities in the region.
Your responsibilities will also include:
Manage and provide specialized skills and guidance to the Financial Compliance Regional Controllers
Provide guidance to the business area in designing new processes to ensure efficient and effective controls are built into the processes as the need arises.
Support the regional organization with continuous change management processes to shape behaviors and attitudes to reach a tighter control environment.
Perform quality reviews of entity documentation in the Bwise tool and scoped entities detailed reviews (3-5 days planning, performing, analyzing, and following up end-to-end processes).
Planning and integration of acquired businesses into the IC platform.
Assist BA Finance control in various initiatives such as IFRS standard, Controls automation, Segregation of Duties, Light SoX, Balance Sheet reviews, and adjusting IC framework to suit the Way of Working (WoW).
Proactively track and understand changes in the Sandvik business environment, and effectively and timely adopt internal control plans to meet new requirements.

Your character
We are looking for someone with a minimum of 5 years of experience in Accounting, Finance or Administration related jobs with a high focus on internal and external audit, internal control or financial control. You have good business understanding and have strong project management and communication skills in diverse cultural work groups. You are analytical with proven experience in Internal Control. You preferably have a background in Engineering or Manufacturing, and you have qualifications within the relevant fields for this position.

Working well independently you also highly value team collaborations and you lead your team with your expertise combined with a high degree of empathy.
