Financial compliance specialist to Polestar

Accounting and financial reporting compliance is part of Group Finance. We are now looking for our next colleague, a Financial compliance specialist, based at Polestar HQ in Gothenburg.

This role gives you a big opportunity to a wide circle of contacts within the Polestar Group, working globally and cross-functionally, as well as getting a comprehensive view of the financial activities within the group. You will work with accounting issues and compliance in close collaboration with the group accounting team and together drive value to the operations of the business.

What you'll do

* Responsibility for the IFRS accounting policy for the Group
* Decide on accounting treatment related to all kinds of agreements and projects
* Guide the organization on financial reporting impact on new business cases
* Preparation of Group Annual Report and Interim Reports
* Ensure financial compliance for the Group Annual Report and Interim Reports
* Ensure financial compliance for the Subsidiary Annual Report - quality review
* Ensure Annual Report filing compliance - Group and subsidiary
* External auditors primary contact and co-ordinating different auditor tasks
* Internal auditor primary contact
* Extensive contact with subsidiaries and shared service centres
* And other ad-hoc tasks



Who you are

To be a great fit for this position we believe you have:

* University degree in Finance
* At a minimum 5 years of relevant experience from e.g. audit firm or similar position at an IFRS reporting company
* Extensive IFRS knowledge required
* An understanding of GAAP differences and reconciliation to Group reporting GAAP
* Capability to translate and apply IFRS regulations into operational complexity
