We are looking for a new colleague who will join the Accounting team in Stena Line for 12 months covering a maternity leave, with specific focus on our Danish business.
What will you do?
As Financial Controller DK you will have the main task of planning, implementing and analyzing financial statements for Stena Line's routes and legal entities in the Danish business. This is an excellent opportunity to get a good insight into an international organization where you will get to work with a variety of different tasks in a complex environment. You will be a part of a group responsible for operations in Scandinavia, Germany and the Baltics. Your role will have specific focus on our Danish operation. We try to get a smooth closing and reporting process which means that tasks are shared between different individuals. As robotics and digitalization is on our agenda there will be an opportunity to be part of that development as well. In short this means that the job might change over the years.
Other areas of responsibility that you will be part of include:
• development of routines and processes
• ensuring that we comply with local legislation and the Group's accounting principles
• provide support and expertise to the business
• support and education to other departments within both Finance and our lines
• internal control
This position is based at our headquarters in Gothenburg and you will be a part of a team of 5-6 where you report to the team manager. The finance department is organized as a Shared Service Center (SSC) where the Accounting department is included. We work as one Finance department which means that we do have work that covers different legal entities as well as other departments.

The must-have’s:
• M.Sc in Business and Economics (Civilekonom)
• 3-5 years of qualified work experience from accounting, preferably from an audit firm or international company
• Fluent in English, written and spoken
• Very good knowledge in Excel
• Knowledge in IFRS and statutory reporting is meritorious
Our business system is JD Edwards and we are reporting to the group in Aaro.
