Now we’re looking for a true professional with a genuine interest in accounting to join our central Financial control department in Sandviken. The mission
In this job, you’re and important player in SMS’ financial control and in maintaining our processes. You’re responsible for upholding clear accounting instructions and ensuring reporting compliant with IFRS and Sandvik’s Financial Reporting policies and procedures. This requires you to coordinate the implementation of well-functioning processes and guidelines, and to support our divisions in following the instructions. Another important matter in this role, is to take the overall lead for our internal control and to secure progress of the divisions’ actions in this. Naturally, you’re actively engaged in our book closings and impairment testing, and as system owner and super user for our finance consolidation system BPC, you take part in development projects and provide support to users. You also participate in various other projects and initiatives within your area of expertise and responsibility.
You’re based in Sandviken and report directly to Head of Accounting and Reporting at Sandvik Machining Solutions.
What about you?
We’re looking for someone with a degree in Accounting and at least five years’ experience from working in this area. You hold the knowledge and ability to apply accounting practices appropriately and easily manage the common systems and tools connected to the job, It’s a plus if you know BPC, and as we act in a global setting, you need excellent communication skills in English, verbally and in writing. Knowledge of Swedish is beneficial.
