We are currently looking to strengthen the Financial Controlling team to join as a global financial controller for our departments within Quality & Logistics, Manufacturing and Purchasing and R&D (3 openings).

As a Financial Controller, you will have a key role for the continuing success of Polestar through strengthening the financial support of a global department. This is a broad but also specialized controlling role, working closely with your finance colleagues as well as the team of the global department you are assigned. You will be working with a wide range of questions - analysis, follow-up, performance management, interact with other departments and financial planning to just name a few. Your skills, opinion and attitude will help us develop and grow the areas of Quality & Logistics, Manufacturing and Purchasing.

What you’ll do

- Establish and improve upon existing management controlling and reporting practices.
- Identify key drivers and set up performance follow up.
- Monthly Financial reports
- Ad-Hoc Reporting and Analysis


- Accruals and approvals in assigned functions
- Continuous improvement of the financial controlling function and processes


- Enable the organization to achieve primary goals in reducing cost, increase the efficiency and streamline processes.
- Identify and mitigate risks and opportunities.
- Produce timely insights reports, challenge management and be vocal.
- Drive and coordinate cross functional initiatives within digital and adjacent business functions
- Interface and related parties are Global department head and Finance management.

Since the scope of this position is wide, it will require a good deal of a ”go-getter” attitude but also patience in a start up environment. Further on, you also posses a positive mindset and good communication skills.

In order to be successful in this role:

- University degree in Business Administration (major in finance or accounting) or equivalent
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in finance from a global controlling function or similar environment with relevant experience from consolidation and financial reporting, preferably in the quality and logistics or manufacturing area
- Good knowledge in IFRS accounting standards and Group consolidation
- Experience from an international environment is an advantage
- Strong business acumen and very good analytical skills
- Proficient in understanding and interpreting financial information and communicating the information in a clear and concise manner
- Ability to plan, coordinate and execute work with many different stakeholders involved
- Experience in SAP is an asset
