About this opportunity


Ericsson has established a separate legal entity structure to enable the company to contribute to open source communities without affecting its IP portfolio. In this focus, Ericsson has setup a few separate software entities in key R&D locations where the entities are operating to facilitate open source contribution. Collectively, these entities are known as Ericsson Software Technology (EST). EST is comprised of 5 legal entities; ESH, the holding company; ESO, the Swedish entity; ESY, the Irish Entity; ESJ, the Finnish entity; and ESZ, the U.S.A. entity.


EST provides a challenging and dynamic environment for a Company Controller to establish needed structures and drive change in a developing multinational organization. Collectively, the EST entities are home to approximately 65 employees. In addition, EST contracts to EAB for an additional 40 FTEs, and with other outside Consulting Companies for an additional 20 FTEs.


EST provides open source development services across all of EAB’s BAs and some MAs as well. In addition, noted above, EST also contracts services from EAB and several external consulting firms.
We are looking for an individual with a natural aptitude to drive entity operations as a Company Controller, implementing improvement from a global perspective and with a variety of internal and external stakeholder interactions. Familiarity with Ericsson corporate operations, methods and procedures will be highly valued in a successful candidate.


What you will do


Perform financial operations for EST toward customers and across EST companies including purchase and invoicing, interface with EAB company control ensuring tax compliance and EST capital management.
Ensure the operations of the organization meet expectations and comply with group policies.
Establish financial flows for entity and customer activities, working with taxation and treasury groups for entity compliance.
Perform financial planning and reporting of business operations including cash flow, P&L, AR, and AP.
Establish and implement policies, goals, objectives, process, procedures, and compliances as necessary.
Secure the interaction and alignment between different functions and support units within the group.
Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders as necessary.
Support developing plans which incorporate goals and objectives that work toward the strategic and operational goals of the organization.



You will bring


Qualification and experience


Masters’ Degree or equivalent experience in the relevant field.
10 years’ experience in relevant roles and responsibilities.



Competence requirement


Ericsson competences; Financial planning, operations, and reporting. Excellent knowledge of Ericsson processes and ways of working. Good knowledge in linking systems, processes and models. Finance and entity governance background. High level of business acumen. Constant focus on stakeholders needs and thereby displaying stakeholder centric behavior.
