Scania is now undergoing a transformation from being a supplier of trucks, buses and engines to a supplier of complete and sustainable transport solutions.
The objective of the Finance and Business Control function at Sales & Marketing is to support and enable profitable and cost-efficient business activities that deliver customer value. We focus on measuring and setting targets for volumes, profitability and expenses within Sales & Marketing’s different functions. The department is responsible for business navigation by performance analysis and follow-up of S&M's global activities in order to support operations and initiate corrective actions to fulfil the common goals. The function carries out several activities within all finance functions such as business controlling, analysis, accounting and reporting as well as special assignments and business cases.
The controller function for Bus & Coach (KCB) is now looking for a Financial Controller with a solid financial background and knowledge within PowerBI to be a part of our team. You will be part of the Bus controlling team along with one other controller and report to the Head of Business Control, Buses. The position offers a wide variety of responsibilities with both finance and business objectives and provides the possibility to extend your network both within Sales & Marketing as well as other Finance Functions within the Industrial System.
Main areas of responsibility:
• Secure correct reporting in book closings and projections
• Be an active part of the projects run within the bus department
• Enabling business owners to understand how decided activities affect profitability
• Monitor the financial follow-up of the new bus generation
• Investment process responsible for Bus & Coach
• Inventory follow-up responsible for Bus & Coaches
• System and development responsible for our IT systems (PowerBI & Mercur)
• Ad hoc projects and investigations mainly within Bus & Coach but also within Finance and Business Control (KC)
Your profile
We are looking for an ambitious person with a solid financial background and proven track record to challenge and influence an organisation with sustainable results. As a person, you are responsible, organized and have a problem-solving attitude. You are good at converting needs into clear goals and deliveries for both yourself and surrounding interfaces. You have a “lean” mindset always striving to improve running processes in order to maximize business support. Furthermore, you:
• Have an MSc in Economics and Business Administration or MS in industrial engineering.
• Have strong communication skills and are fluent in English, both spoken and written.
• Have knowledge of HFM/Smart view, Microsoft Office and good general IS/IT competence for personal efficiency.
