Financial controller – Central controlling Sales and Marketing

Scania is now undergoing a transformation from being a supplier of trucks, buses, and engines to a supplier of complete and sustainable transport solutions.
The objective for the Finance and Business Control function, KC, is to support and enable profitable and cost-efficient business activities that deliver customer value within Sales and Marketing (S&M). The department is responsible for navigate through performance and follow-up of S&M's global activities/business areas in order to support operations.
As one of our current controllers within Central Controlling (KCX) is leaving for other challenges, we are now looking for a financial controller with interest in process improvements and BI development. As a financial controller you will have an important role to drive process efficiency and supporting the global Finance organization within S&M. You will report to Head of Central control and will be part of a team of five located in Södertälje and cooperate closely with colleagues within the global Finance community for S&M.
Your assignment
The main responsibility is to carry out OPEX, headcount and investments analysis on total S&M level and be responsible to coordinate the different processes (book closing, projections etc) for those areas. You will also be responsible for our BI tool, Mercur, for both development and maintenance and a big part of the journey where we will move into SAP and their BI tool SAC.
A part from those regular tasks there will also be ad hoc request and participation in cross-functional improvement projects with department colleagues as well as other functions within Scania. You will also support the Head of Finance and Business Control with ad-hoc analysis and management reporting within S&M.
What are we searching for, is this you?
We’re looking for an ambitious person with solid financial background that has an interest in improving processes through digitalisation and are not afraid to challenge existing processes. You also have a genuine interest in understanding the business. We believe that you are a team player that likes to have a lot of different contact areas but in the same time also be able to take lead in projects. As a person you are responsible, organized and have a problem solving attitude.
You have a few years of work experience from accounting and/or controlling and are looking for a new position where you will be responsible for cross functional processes and focus on improvement work. You have an MSc in Economics and Business Administration and/or MSc in Industrial engineering. You are fluent in English, both spoken and written.
