We're looking for a Financial Controller to join a team at our client's headquarters in Gothenburg. This role is important in managing the financial processes for Brand and Marketing and PR & Communications, focusing on operating expenses globally. If you're someone who enjoys working independently on both standard and complex financial tasks and has a passion for marketing, this opportunity could be perfect for you.
Key Responsibilities:
• Analyze actual spending and manage budgets and forecasts related to costs.
• Maintain cost center structures and ensure accurate accruals.
• Offer financial support to operational teams and help streamline approval processes.
• Work alongside HR to manage headcount reporting.
• Suggest and implement improvements to the financial reporting process.
• Oversee market spend analysis and establish global procedures for analyzing functional expenditures.
Skills and Expertise:
• Strong ability to collaborate and build business relationships within the organization.
• Proficient in creating and enhancing best-practice processes.
• Skilled in managing detailed data as well as understanding broader overviews.
• Previous experience in a business-oriented finance role.
• Capable of integrating finance considerations early in business processes.
• Familiarity with business systems and acting as a gatekeeper when necessary.
Personal skills:
• Highly organized and effective communicator.
• Demonstrates perseverance, practicality, and proactivity.
• Efficient and able to prioritize tasks.
• Possesses a competitive edge and strategic insight.
Requirements:
• Preferably 6-10 years of experience, handling advanced tasks independently.
• 3-6 years of experience can be considered if you can work independently and have experience in marketing.
This is a full-time position located in Gothenburg.
