Arbetsbeskrivning
Sandvik’s Global Finance organization strives to protect and enhance shareholder value by turning financial data into the basis for decision-making and by protecting Sandvik’s capital structure. We aim to be true business partners as we ensure high quality processes and provide efficient, reliable and proactive financial analysis.
Right now, we’re looking for a detailed, forward-thinking, and service-driven Financial Controller to join our Parent Company in Sandviken – a competent and engaged team where collaboration, knowledge-sharing and curiosity are keys. If you enjoy a changing setting, where you constantly work to improve both our operations and your own financial skills, this is the place to be!
About the job
Our team plays a central role within our finance organization and we support each other within the team to reach success. As Financial Controller with us, you’re responsible for the financial control connected to Sandvik AB and you support group functions such as Finance, HR, Legal, Communications and IT. Your tasks include accounting, reporting, forecasting and reconciliations, and you also compile and analyze material for business controlling. As normal within our line of work you know the importance of accuracy and deadlines, while on the other hand, we give you great freedom and opportunities to acquire a broad and thorough knowledge of many exciting financial areas.
Together with the rest of the team, you take an active part in reporting and presenting figures and numbers that enable our management to make informed decisions and increase profitability. In addition, you manage communication and perform training of financial systems, processes, and guidelines, and you help us in ensuring that we follow Sandvik framework and are aligned with financial regulations such as Swedish GAAP and IFRS. Working with improvements is another important item on your agenda, and you contribute in development activities and open-mindedly discuss synergies and best practices with your colleagues. This is a job with a broad global network, and you also work in close collaboration with various stakeholders of the group functions you’re supporting.
About you
We’re looking for an analytical, detailed and quality conscious controller with three to five years’ experience from working in similar roles at larger companies or from an accounting agency.
With a passion for numbers and a great ability to manage forecasts and evaluate reports, you contribute in bringing clarity to the financial follow up of our group functions. Your knowledge is grounded by an academic degree within Accounting or Finance, and you’re skilled in Office 365 and especially Excel. Previous experiences of working in BPC and SAP is a plus - the same also goes for an interest in Robotics Process Automation. Working in a global business, where we’re also obligated to adhere to local financial laws and regulations, you need to be skilled in both Swedish and English.
You really enjoy a global and fast-paced environment where peaks occur, and you consider yourself to be an agile doer who welcomes feedback and change. With a collaborative and service-minded approach, you lift the importance of teamwork and you actively support and share information with both colleagues and stakeholders. You also use your great communication skills to provide our business with reliable financial information.
